Stir fries are the ultimate fast food. They're quick, tasty and super versatile, making them the perfect option for busy weeknights. They're ideal for clearing the fridge of any veggies that have seen better days, and pretty much everyone loves a stir fry so they're a real crowd pleaser.
As easy as stir fries are to make, it's easy to get stuck in a rut and choose the same ingredients over and over again. The lovely thing about a stir fry is that the basic structure of protein and/or veggies, aromatics, sauce and garnish stays the same, but the ingredients can change depending on what you have to hand.

Use a wok
This seems obvious, but not everyone has a wok. Woks heat up quickly and retain their heat well, so they're perfect for stir frying. Their high sides make it easier to toss your ingredients without losing any. There's no need to spend a lot either. Buy a cheap steel wok (check your nearest Asian supermarket) and season it well.
